Refund, Exchange & Warrantee Policy:
Defective / Damaged products:
Please note: Faults resulting from normal wear and tear
or misuse
will not entitle you to any repair, replacement or
refund. EG. Opening an umbrella without rotating it free
will damage the umbrella.
If
Studio22 supplies the wrong product or if the product is
damaged or faulty as a result of a manufacturing defect,
Studio22 must be notified by way of email to
info@studio22.co.za or
by contacting the store at 021
5922922,
within of
invoice. Should Studio22 not receive notice within 7
days, you will be deemed to have received the correct
product, in accordance with the order placed by you, and
in good working condition.
Studio22 will exchange the incorrect or
faulty product for a replacement upon receipt of the
returned product (send to 22 Beaufort Street, Goodwood).
For manufacturers warrantee claims, please see "" below. The returned product must be received in the original
packaging and if the product is returned as a result of
being an incorrect delivery, the product must not have
been utilised. Studio22 will make all reasonable effort
to exchange the product, but if replacement is not
possible at the same price or at all, Studio22 will
refund the purchase price (excluding delivery cost/s)
upon receipt of the returned product.
Studio22 does not cover shipping costs of returned
goods.
Cooling off period:
Save for certain exceptional cases (as listed below),
Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and
Transactions Act 25 of 2002 entitles you to cancel any sale concluded
on this Website within after date of receipt of the goods and to
obtain a full purchase price refund within 30 days
thereafter, subject to being charged by Studio22 for the
return of the goods.
Light bulbs and lamps:
Light bulbs, fuses and lamps are
classed as consumables, these products are not covered
by warrantee. This includes lamps as part of
continious lighting kits.
Late Delivery:
If a product purchased is not delivered within the
agreed delivery period (this must be in writing), or where no specific period was
agreed, within 30 days after having purchased the
Product, the ECT Act entitles you to cancel such sale on
7 days notice to the seller of such product.
Out of box failures are to be reported
within of
receipt and, if found by the manufacturer to indeed be a
manufacturing defect, will be replaced by the
manufacturer.
Where defects become apparent at a later
stage, your rights are limited to the manufacturer's
guarantee of the goods supplied () which guarantee is normally
a repair
guarantee. Studio22’s liability under the Electronic
Hardware Guarantee is restricted to the costs of repair
or replacement of faulty goods or granting of a credit
at the sole discretion of Studio22 and its suppliers
after investigation and/or testing of goods.
All electronic hardware guarantees are
immediately null and void should any equipment be
tampered with, or the seals on equipment be broken by
anyone other than the manufacturer's representative, or
the goods be operated outside the manufacturer's
specifications.
Under no circumstances will Studio22 be
liable for any damage arising from any misuse or abuse
of the goods.
Photographic Equipment bought from
Studio22 is under warranty for a period of from the date of purchase against defects in
workmanship and materials. Products will only be
replaced or repaired if defects are reported within the first after receipt and the manufacturer finds
that the product does indeed have a manufacturing fault.
Thereafter the warranty is limited to repair and/or
adjustment.
To obtain service under this warranty,
the product together with the original invoice and proof
of payment must be sent back to Studio22, the South
African distributor or allocated repair agent.
Warranty assessments and repairs are
carried out by the approved repair centres and may take
up to 6 weeks. Studio22 cannot be held responsible for
any delays.
Studio22 will not be responsible for loss
of memory cards, other expenses or inconvenience or
consequential damages occasioned by the equipment or by
breach of any express or implied warranty with respect
thereto.
Studio22 will not be liable for any
claim, of whatsoever nature -
- instituted after the expiry of the warranty period
referred to above; or
- based on any warranty, whether express or implied,
other than the express photographic equipment warranty
set forth above.
