-- In the case of the Life XW, we
suggest an average of 7 images per page. A 20 page XW book will therefore
average 140 images. More images can be inserted but gives the book a busy,
cluttered look.
-- Images must either be numbered in the order you wish
them to appear or placed in folders according the
pages they must appear on.
-- Images supplied should be at least 2mb each (or
approx 6x9"at 300dpi) for best print quality. Smaller
files can be used but are not preferred.
-- Images should be Jpeg in sRGB format. If converting
is necessary, an additional fee may be charged. Please
enquire if you are not sure.
-- The design of a StoryBook Album and Coffee Table Book takes approximately
7 working days.
This will need to be confirmed with the design team when
handing in your order.
-- We supply a proof sheet printed in full colour on the
identical paper used for the final book.
This needs to be signed before we can proceed to
printing and binding.
-- You are permitted three changes to the first proof,
thereafter our standard design fee applies. These are
three single changes to individual pages, not total
design changes.
-- A short written brief may be handed in with the
order.
-- Printing and binding takes approximately 7 working
days from
the date the proof is signed. This will be confirmed
once signed as the albums are logged in at this stage.
-- All our Photobooks are hand
crafted. As binding is an art and not a science, variations can be expected. The
characteristics of the materials used must be taken into account. Paper will get
dirty if it is handled with dirty hands etc.
-- Covers: A selection of existing designs are available
and included in the price. If new design is required,
please request a quote in advance as our standard design
fees will apply. PLEASE NOTE: We do not suggest using
dark colours on the spines of our Coffee Table Books,
due to the extra ink in dark colours, the laminated
cover forms small air bubbles.
Alternative DIY option:
Use our FREE Studio22 Album Maker software for
all our photo book designs, collect a CD from Studio22
or download it free from
www.coffeetablebooks.co.za.
OR
StoryBook Albums - We are able to print from Page
Design, use the "Vision Art Book Vertical" layout
option. Once the book is complete, process to the
selected book size you require at 300DPI. You are
welcome to use any design package, as long as you can
supply a Jpeg, Tiff or Bitmap file for printing (Frontier colour space, 8 bit).
Coffee Table Books - We are able to print from iPhoto
and Page Design. Design in Photoshop is also an option. In iPhoto, please use the maximum size
setting and produce a PDF by selecting 'to print', then use
the "Save to PDF" option. In Page Design, use the
"Asuka Book Vertical" layout option. Once the book
is complete, process to 300DPI. If you plan to work in
Photoshop or a similar design package, please work on an
A4 or A3 landscape page and allow 5mm of bleed
